Muriwai is known mainly for its extensive gannet colonies, but my favourite subjects are the little White-fronted terns that also nest on the cliffs. They’re much smaller and faster, which makes them difficult to pinpoint against overcast skies, but they often return from fishing with a face-full, which makes for a nice image.
More from me later on this week when my face isn’t so swollen.
