Today is a little bit different. While we were staying in the Midlands, we had pretty regular afternoon storms. Dad and I were down at the Large Dam taking photos when we saw one pass by us, and while we got wet and thundered at, it was far enough away not to worry about. It did make for some interesting land/cloudscapes, and because I was only hauling the 200-400mm around I made use of the Canon PowerShot S90 that we take on holiday. It’s quite an amazing little camera, and I really enjoy using it for holiday snapshots. The settings are endlessly adaptable, and I love the tactile ring on the front that can be programmed to change whatever setting you want. I usually stick it on ISO, and use the back function ring for aperture. I just have to remember to turn Manual Mode off when other people need to use it!
Dad’s done a few great blogs about the Dams at Midlands Saddle and Trout, which you should go and look at.

30 Mar 2014Some great images, Edin. I especially like the second one. The one with the hay bales looks to have a small twister funnel starting to form.

30 Mar 2014Edi I love these moody shots. Hay bales are my all time favourite so that shot hits a soft spot for me. Xx
