A walk in the woods

I got to spend a week at home during study break, which was a nice change of pace. It was also great to get back into the forest and make some images! Walking in the evenings is so peaceful, and the forest is calm and quiet. The light is also great later in the day, and really brings out the texture in the Redwood bark. I’m being crushed by exams at the moment, so here’s a few of my favourite images, all taken with the Fuji X100.

In the Redwoods, you can see where people have touched the trees as they pass by. The soft bark is worn down and many of the trees have a ring around the base.

By Wednesday, I will have finished the last exam of my degree! See you then.
