100 Posts!

In roughly 2 years I have written 100 blog posts and kept to my goal of posting one every Sunday. It’s been a fantastic exercise, constantly pushing me to learn more and do more photographically, and I don’t intend to stop any time soon! Photography has become such a large part of my life, I get withdrawal symptoms if I go for too long without it. I’ve gone from taking photographs because I like making pretty pictures to learning the ins and outs of how a camera works and consciously creating photographs, paying attention to light, composition, learning how to use Manual and expose my photos how I want them without having to think about it. Learning so much in the past two years has only made me realise how much more I have to learn, and look forward to future adventures.

For my 100th post, I thought I’d share some of my favourite photographs from the past few years. It’s only been in the past three years that I’ve begun to plan my photographs, and have the reflexes and knowledge to take advantage of spontaneous opportunities. If you hover over the text at the bottom of the photographs, it will scroll down.

I’m nearing the end of my Undergraduate years at University, which makes me a little apprehensive as to where the next few years will take me. I often get asked where I see myself in five years, and I can say with honesty that I don’t have a set plan. I just know that photography will continue to be a massive part of my life, and I will strive to continue learning and improving my skills.

Dad, thank you for the guidance you have given me and all our adventures – here’s to all our future  ones!
